An improved license model for T4W resources

We've improved our license model in response to teachers' feedback. Instead of a standard fee, regardless of the number of unit standard resources a school uses, we've introduced a 'per unit' charge based on the number of units taught. Schools will only need to pay for the resources we know they've used on a historical basis.

For this year, Level 2 resource materials will cost $35 per unit standard used. This month we'll invoice each school for the 2009 year based on the number of Level 2 unit standard resources they actually used in 2008. No historical charge will apply for use of the Level 1 resources for this year.

However we will be introducing the same fee for the Level 1 resources next year. In 2010, schools will be invoiced for both the Level 1 & 2 units standard resources they've used in 2009. This will help us to cover the costs of delivering and improving these resources year on year, to better meet the needs of teachers across New Zealand.
