Tools4Work is committed to the delivery of high quality learning and assessment resource, and to the achievement of positive, learner driven outcomes. We also provide comprehensive support for the school classroom and workshop, and to Gateway students and coordinators, including

• regular visits to schools and the community
  
• continuous moderation of unit standard outcomes, and
• professional development for teachers and Gateway coordinators.

Tools4Work has developed pre-moderated teaching and learning materials and practical engineering projects to help secondary school students to achieve engineering unit standards.

The Tools4Work resources are designed to be delivered in school classrooms and workshops as pre-moderated teaching and learning materials and include practical engineering projects for students.

The Tools4Work engineering workshop projects provide students with an opportunity to learn a wide range of practical engineering skills and techniques. Each engineering project encompasses the tools, material requirements, and competency and knowledge outcomes listed in the unit standards, and provides a practical and stimulating experience for students.

The student information sheets and task worksheets support and record each step of the learning process.

The naturally occurring evidence from each stage of the engineering projects can be used to complete a broad range of unit standard assessment tasks.

The on-line version of the Level 1 resources remains free to schools for 2009 and can be downloaded from this website. The Level 2 resource material can also be downloaded from this website, or can be ordered in CD-ROM and/or pre-printed formats.
