The 2009 Otago Southland Grass Kart Challenge was one of the biggest yet, with a growing contingency of teams entering the event from the Canterbury region. The team are hoping for even more involvement from ‘Garden City' high schools for 2010 - in fact there are plans to hold an event in Christchurch in 2011 to accommodate the growing interest.

In addition, the NZ Secondary Schools Mini-Moto GP was a roaring success with 170+ students taking to the track on the minibikes they built and' tricked out' themselves. They came from as far afield as Nelson and the Coromandel for 2009 - come join the high octane fun at Manfeild in 2010!

You will be sent all the information you need to help you get the project underway with your students, including full build guidelines and specifications, costs, and a competency mapping exercise that will help you with unit assessments through students' participation in this project.
